China 2015 auto sales rise at slowest pace in three years.

Auto sales in China, the world’s biggest market, rose 4.7 percent year on year to 24.59 million units in 2015, Xinhua said, quoting data from an industry association.

The growth marks the slowest pace in three years, following the 6.9-percent rise in 2014 and 13.9-percent gain in 2013, according to the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers.

Last year, the country’s vehicle output stood at 24.5 million units, the data showed.

India’s car sales rose by nearly 13 percent in December — an increase for the 14th straight month, as the auto industry offered deep discounts. According to the data released by Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers (SIAM), domestic car sales in December stood at 1,72,671 units compared with 1,52,986 units in December 2014.

Car sales grew by 9.8 percent to 20,34,015 units in the entire 2015.
