India says coal imports fell 7 percent in April-Nov 2015

India’s coal imports in the April-November 2015 period fell 7.3 percent to 127.52 million tonnes from 137.61 illion tonnes in the same corresponding period of the previous fiscal, the power minister said in a written response to a parliament question.

The fall in imports was largely due higher domestic production by Coal India Ltd, Piyus Goyal said.
