The expansion of the Bhilai Steel Plant owned by SAIL to raise its capacity to 7 million tonnes is expected to be completed by December 2016 at a cost of Rs 17,266 crore, India’s steel and mines minister said.
Narendra Singh Tomar told parliament in a written reply that six other steel plants owned by state-run companies had undertaken moderanization and expansion. He tabled the following details.
